Play Nintendo Wii games using Nike Air Maxes?

Share
What made Nintendo's Wii so popular is because of its unique "Wiimote" game controllers. Unlike traditional video game controllers that has a d-pad, and buttons as your game controls, Wiimotes uses motion sensor that allows users to interact and control items on screen via gesture recognition and by pointing through the use of accelerometer and optical sensor technology.

And another innovation is its Wii Balance Board. The Wii Balance Board is a type of game controller accessory gives users a different gaming experience. The Wii Balance Board was introduced together with the famous Wii Fit game. The idea of creating this controller is to allow users to play the video console using their whole body including their legs.

Nick Marsh has taken the Nintendo Wii gaming experience to a whole new level. By performing surgery on his Wii Balance Board, taking off its internals and integrating them to his Nike Air Maxes, playing Nintendo Wii will never be the same.

Let's take a closer look on Nick Marsh's masterpiece.

By wearing the modded Nike Air Maxes, your shoes will serve as your balance board. According to Nick, since you're physically attached to your "balance board", you must lift your foot and stand on one leg or sit down when no pressure is required to emulate the Wii balance board, and this what makes it more interesting and harder to play Wii Fit.

  1. As soon as I viewed this review my thought was that Techno Bacon viewers have to comment on this: http://hubpages.com/hub/rent-a-laptop-rentals . I can't comprehend renting a portable computer at all! The expense of renting a netbook for just about two weeks will cost you as much as outright going online and purchasing the product!

  2. I agree on that! But maybe the purpose of renting a laptop is for 1 time use on events (wedding presentations, etc) but not renting it for more than 2 days I presume. If that's the case, it would be cheaper to rent one for an occasion rather than buy one. Thanks for sharing this to us Cammie. Really interesting concept. :)
